A Patent Competition for Start-ups and Early-Stage Companies.
You have a promising new company founded on a great idea.
As you journey on the long road of perfecting, marketing and investing in that brainchild,
consider also protecting it.
It is critically important for early-stage companies with new technology to protect their intellectual property, but it can be difficult to find the resources to invest in patent protection. The DRM patent competition is designed to help by awarding a patent application to one local start-up each year and by providing an IP 101 seminar to address IP questions entrepreneurs and others in local companies might have.
The winner of the competition will be awarded up to $10,000 in legal services to prepare and file a
utility patent application. DRM will also pay for the associated US Patent Office filing fees.
DRM will kick off the competition by hosting an IP 101 seminar on Thursday, July 20, 2017 in our brand new Lebanon, NH office, where we will discuss best practices for patent and trademark protection and answer questions about the competition.
DRM is committed to supporting our local start-up community, regardless of industry.
Complete our short application and send us your pitch deck.
Applications are due September 15.
